I am just back from the most incredible bike ride to Kanha National Park and Bandhav Garh Tiger Reserve– two wildlife parks in the adjoining state of MP. A friend and me decided to just take a bike and head out onto the highway for some adventure and getaway from the Diwali pollution in the city.

The ride through the dense forests of MP was, to say the least, exhilarating. The early morning jeep safaris in the park were a lot of fun but the icing on the cake was the elephant safari. Spotting a tigress and her year old cub feeding off a freshly killed deer from the back of an elephant deep in the jungle was an unforgettable experience. I will be putting up the pictures on facebook soon but I must admit that my camera couldn’t do justice to the moment and for the first time I wished I had an SLR!
