Though this article is slightly dated but it still throws light on the life of one of the most famous management doers in the last few decades. This guy isn’t just a management theorist…..writing articles and books……though he does manage to write a lot of them as well. But what he is really well known for, as the article points out is his ability to distill things into actionable plans. How he uses his humble beginnings in a shoe shop to make things simple without getting simplistic.
I am staggered by was the amount of travelling Charan gets done in a year! Thank God he doesn’t have a family! They would have trouble keeping track of which continent he was on every week!
As I read it though I also realised that this sort of life is not for everyone! I know it definitely isn’t for me. Most people would want a family, a settled life, more certainty, etc… While from a distance we may admire the Ram Charan’s of this world…..very often just being home with the wife and kids is one of life’s greatest blessings!
